The property, which is right in the centre of the village of La Grave, offers easy access to ski slopes, mountain biking trails, and hiking paths in the Écrins Massif. The ski lifts are just 600m from the house and the shuttle bus, which stops just 200m away, runs throughout the Oisans region.
Outside the ski season, the area offers a wealth of outdoor activities, from rafting and horse-riding to paragliding, climbing and via ferrata.
All the shops, bars, and restaurants you need are just a few minutes’ walk away, and at the end of the day you can relax in the comfort of Esprit de la Meije, with a view you’ll never tire of.
About the property…
Esprit de la Meije is a charming accommodation for four guests, spread over four floors. There are two bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms.
On the ground floor, you’ll enter through a garage, which also serves as a laundry and ski room. There’s a washing machine and dryer, as well as space to store skis and outdoor gear, including a heated boot dryer.
The first floor houses a bedroom which can be set up with a double or twin beds. It also has a sofa, doors to the balcony, as well as a walk-in shower and a separate toilet.
The second floor is dedicated to the open-plan living area, with a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table and a seating area with a TV and wood-burning stove. French doors open onto a balcony.
The third floor is where you’ll find the master double bedroom, equipped with a television. It has an en-suite bathroom with a whirlpool bath and two washbasins, as well as a separate toilet.

Esprit de la Meije is right in the centre of La Grave.
La Grave, in the Hautes-Alpes area, is located at the foot of a mountain called La Meije, overlooking the glaciers of the Écrins range and close to Briançon and the Coll du Lautaret. Known as one of the most beautiful mountain villages, visitors appreciate its authenticity and spectacular scenery. The area attracts high-mountain enthusiasts and those seeking Alpine experiences in a setting largely untouched by mass tourism.
In winter, La Grave offers a unique ski domain, popular for freeriding. The atmosphere is authentic, focused on raw mountain terrain and respect for the environment. Two marked pistes and over 2,000m of vertical drop leave ample space for guided off-piste skiing. Experienced skiers can enjoy glacier routes, while ski touring, snowshoeing and ice climbing are also covered.
During the rest of the year, La Grave is a gateway to the Écrins National Park. Hiking, mountaineering and via ferrata allow visitors to discover high-altitude lakes, glaciers and unspoiled valleys. The Romanche River, which flows through the region, is perfect for fishing and scenic walks. Mountain biking, paragliding, and climbing enthusiasts will also find plenty to entertain them in this pristine natural environment.

“Warm welcome, well-equipped chalet and amazing view”
I stayed for a week at the Esprit de la Meije to ski in this beautiful area. Stéphanie's welcome was warm and professional. The house is beautiful, elegant, and equipped with all the comforts a skier could wish for (two-minute walk to the ski lifts, heated garage, boot warmers, etc. etc.). The furniture and furnishings are tasteful, and the appliances are state-of-the-art. The view of La Meije is priceless. I plan to return very soon.

The second floor is the heart of the home, with a balcony and a wood-burning stove. This is where you will get together to cook, eat and relax, with a comfortable seating area and a fully equipped kitchen.
And when you step out onto the balcony, you’ll feel as if you could almost reach out and touch La Meije and the Écrins Massif.
The two bedrooms each have their own character and an en-suite bath or shower room – a real luxury for an accommodation of this size. The top-floor suite, which has a whirlpool bath, is designed as a relaxing retreat after an active day.
On the lower level, the second bedroom opens onto a balcony, where you can enjoy the fresh mountain air as soon as you rise. This room can be arranged with a large double or two twin beds.
